HBO Sets Date For Boardwalk Empire Premiere

HBO has announced the date for the US premiere of Boardwalk Empire. The series, which is based on the book "Boardwalk Empire, The Birth, High Times and Corruption of Atlantic City" and has been in part directed by Martin Scorcese is due to air for the first time on Sunday, September the 9th at 9pm.

UK viewers will have to wait longer to see the likes of Steve Buscemi and Kenneth Michael Williams (Omar from the Wire) play in the prohibition era show. It it not yet known when, or even on which channel "Empire" will be aired.

Other HBO shows have aired on BBC 2, Channel 4 and Sky. Personally I've got my fingers crossed for the BBC (no ads, free), Channel 4 (free) then Sky (expensive and full of ads) in that order.
